The property - featuring 6 Bedrooms and 7 Bathrooms, a theatre, a gym, infinity pool &, tennis court - is set on 1.72 acres overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Cher also owns a condo in the celebrity-filled "Sierra Towers", situated on 9255 Doheny Road in West Hollywood (adjacent to Beverly Hills). Joan Collins recently purchased a 2100 sq ft condo in the same building for $2.7 Million.

But...Let's face it having had Cher as a prior owner/occupant probably doubles the value! People love celebrities and Cher certainly has paid her dues and has passed the test of time. She is a legend.
The property is situated on prime land in Malibu, which includes some of the most expensive properties in Southern California.
Stewart.. Even though the home sits on over an acre of property, the house takes up a good portion of that. I agree with Mott, it seems a bit on the high side... prime land or not in Malibu. It will only sell for what the market will pay.

Impressive house in a great location: Malibu oceanfront property. Cher recently sold one of her homes here in Palm Springs for just under 2 million. Too bad I don't have a client at this time in that price range.

9/5/08 - It's rumored that there are currently negotiations on Cher's Malibu property .... and that the property could be sold for around $40 Million. Celebrity gossip .... media rumors ... who knows!
Stewart-Italian Renaissance is one of my favorite architectural styles...too bad this estates price tag is beyond my pocketbooks comprehension!

After 271 days on the market, the property was withdrawn last month ..... unsold!

Cher's Malibu Mansion is back on the market and the new reduced price of $41 Million.
Well it looks ike a $45,000,000 mansion to me, not a $41,000,000. That's what happens in a "down" market!
