Goldman Sachs - Arms-length Business or Competitive Advantage?

One can't help questioning the "connections" & "linkages" of the "Wall Street Types" making decisions pertaining to the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).

Congresswoman Maxine Walters (D-California, 35th District) was right on the mark when she questioned Tim Geithner at a congressional hearing on March 24, 2009.

She asked what many of us want to know: Just how much influence does Goldman Sachs have over the bailout program?

Hi Stewart

What's going on in Washington is becoming an out rage; it's time for the Americans to stand up and say no more, and then start to vote the Senator and Congressman out of office.

Good luck and success

Stewart, said it before and will say it again, hank paulson!  There is no way someone who has close ties to the financials can be unbiased in their zeal to make sure those same financials get all the help they can get.

Lou - What's going on in Washington has been an outrage for over 8 years. It's only now that taxpayers are waking up to it!

Terry - I started drawing a chart with all the players in this scandal, and it's scary to see how Paulson is connected to everyone benefitting from the bailout.

The diagram I created traces the links between Paulson, Liddy, Rumsfeld (yes, the former Defense Secretary), and non other than George Bush.

This is truly a web of power, influence and self-interest.

Yes Stewart and now Obama wants to appoint another Goldman Sachs exec?  I don't think so!
