I try to comment on interesting and relevant topics that relate to Real Estate matters.
I also try to blog about topics that may be of interest to people in my local neighborhood and people relocating to the area I live and work in.
Perhaps readers around the country (and the world) may also be interested in what's happening in Los Angeles.
I often look at other blogs that are receiving no comments and find a few common elements:
1. The post is way too long. It makes sense to keep it brief. Get the message across quickly and let the comments carry the conversation further.
2. There are no pictures or graphics. Add pictures. Visuals can add life and excitement to otherwise dull looking posts.
3. The information is not compelling or relevant. Obviously every blog cannot appeal to every reader, but the content should tempt the reader to read on and participate in the comments.
4. The blog does not promote a debate or reader input. I think a blog should be an interactive experience between the blogger and the readers. The blog should invite input and comments to further stimulate a discussion.
If you have observations as to why some blogs get a better response than others please share them .... that way we can all continue to write stimulating, informative and entertaining blogs.
